Hello,
I am sure you all see help requests all the time... Thank you for
helping...
I have cricket installed under Debian, stock, no changes of any kind
but to move an example set of files to what I believe is the correct
directory. I am having a hell of a time getting my head around
cricket...
Had mrtg running, and a friend convinced me to try cricket.
For the life of me I can't get it collecting any data...
Here is what I have done so far, (condensed):
1. Installed cricket using Synaptic Package Manager, under Debian
2. Copied the http performance examples to /etc/cricket/config
3. Used: "su -m --command="cricket-compile" cricket", to compile the
cricket files
4. Looked at the output using web browser. No graphs. I do however
get:
[07-Feb-2010 06:55:01 ] Starting collector: Cricket version 1.0.5 (2004-03-28)
[07-Feb-2010 06:55:01*] Could not find a datafile for cricket-home.
[07-Feb-2010 06:55:01*] Could not find a datafile for www.cnn.com.
[07-Feb-2010 06:55:01 ] Processed 2 targets in 0 seconds.
in the ALL log file. Used to get something different when I compiled
the commands under root...
I am new to Linux, so I am sure it is something I have missed, or
forgotten, any help would be nice....
Thanks,
Dave
